Last week 19 members of Station 71 certified or recertified in CPR / AED / Basic First Aid.
For those that may not know CPR stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation which is a lifesaving technique used in emergencies when someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator and is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electric shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
