Gallitzin Fire Company

Since 1903, the dedicated volunteers of the Gallitzin Fire Company have proudly served the Gallitzin area. This 100% volunteer organization provides critical fire prevention, suppression, rescue services, and QRS to residents, visitors, and travelers across Gallitzin Borough, Tunnelhill Borough, Gallitzin Township, and neighboring communities. Both the Gallitzin and Tunnelhill Borough Councils recognize the Gallitzin Fire Company as their primary fire service, while the Gallitzin Township Supervisors rely on them for fire protection in specific areas.

A Committed Team:

• Approximately 30 active volunteers make up the backbone of the Gallitzin Fire Company.

• They operate a fleet of four vehicles:

  • Rescue-Engine 71 (RE71): Is equipped primarily for rescue operation and is but is also equipped for firefighting operations and QRS.

  • Engine 71 (E71): Dedicated to firefighting operations.

  • Utility 71 (U71): Provides QRS and support for various rescue and firefighting operations..

  • ATV 71 (ATV71): Offers access to challenging terrain for rescue and fire suppression in remote areas.

• A single station located at 210 St. Thomas Street, Gallitzin, PA 16641 serves as their base of operations.
